Are Rice Krispies Gluten Free?

You might think Kellogg's Rice Krispies are gluten-free, being puffed grains of rice and all but they're not. Rice Krispies are not gluten-free because they contain barley ingredients.

Why aren't Rice Krispies gluten free?

Rice Krispies aren't 100% gluten-free because they contain barley. Specifically, barley malt extract.

But don't worry! That doesn't mean you don't get to SNAP, CRACKLE, POP like everyone else..

This cereal is gluten-free due to its main ingredient, puffed quinoa. Puffed quinoa is made by "baking" small, almost seed-like quinoa grains.

Gluten-Free Chex

Chex Cereal is a great alternative to rice krispies. They're gluten-free and they have a few different flavours to choose from.
