Honey Soy Marinade

This Honey Soy Sauce Marinade is simply delicious! With just a few ingredients, this sweet and tangy marinade brings a ton of flavour to either beef or chicken.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • Fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  • Use immediately or place in fridge for up to 3 days prior to using.

Marinading instructions

  • Place beef (or chicken) in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  • Pour the marinade over the beef, making sure it is evenly coated.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap and marinate the beef in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
  • When ready to cook, remove meat from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
  • Grill, bake, or pan-fry the beef until cooked through.
  • Serve the beef with your favourite sides and enjoy!

Notes

Makes about 1 cup of marinade.
Marinade can be made up to 3 days in advance and kept in the fridge. Whisk to re-combine if necessary before using.
Discard any unused marinade after marinating meat.
Can be used to marinate chicken, beef, pork or tofu. Can be also used as a stir-fry sauce.
