A super easy chicken sheet pan chicken recipe that the kids won't be able to stay away from. Make some roasted potatoes or serve it with basmati rice for a perfectly balanced meal prep!

How to make sheet pan bbq chicken breasts

In a small bowl, mix together the dry spices and coat the chicken breast chunks with it. Cover and marinade for 1 hour.

Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F. Toss the broccoli pieces in a little olive oil and sprinkle with Kosher salt.

Spread the marinated chicken and broccoli pieces on the sheet pan. Bake for 12-14 minutes.

Brush the chicken pieces with some BBQ sauce. Roast for another 5 minutes.

Remove from the oven when the broccoli is staring to brown and the chicken is cooked through (165F internal).

The chicken pieces will get caramelized from the BBQ sauce. Serve with basmati rice or roasted potatoes.

Sheet Pan BBQ Chicken Breasts with Broccoli
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon Olive oil
- 3 chicken breasts diced, about 0.75 kg or 1.5 lbs
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 large head of broccoli chopped into small florets
- ⅓ cup Gluten Free BBQ sauce
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the dry spices: smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, pepper, and if you like it hot, a few big pinches of cayenne pepper.
- Toss the chicken pieces in a large bowl with the olive oil. Coat with the spice mix. Cover and marinate for 1 hour in the fridge.
- When ready to cook the chicken, pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F. Toss the broccoli pieces in a little olive oil and sprinkle with Kosher salt.
- On a large sheet pan, spread out the marinaded chicken pieces on one half of the pan. Leave room between the pieces. Add the broccoli on the other half.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes. Stir the broccoli around halfway.
- Brush the chicken pieces with the BBQ sauce and roast for another 5 minutes or until the chicken is 165 degrees F.
