Making this Homemade Taco Seasoning will mean you’ll probably never need to buy that thin, yellow package of taco seasoning ever again🌮
Not that there’s anything super wrong with store-bought seasoning. No judgement here friend🙅♀️
I used to make many a taco nights with that Old El Paso taco seasoning – the more spice and the stronger the flavour the better.
But as I get older (40 is coming up *coughcough*), my stomach isn’t a fan of the concentrated, dehydrated spices. I don’t know what it is but I’m listening to my body and it’s giving me loud and clear messages.
You probably can relate. Like as you get older, maybe dairy doesn’t agree with you anymore. You still eat the ice cream (duh) but you pay for it later?
The gut is a pretty incredible thing, isn’t? It can really be a widow into the rest of the health of your body.
As for tacos, they’ve always agreed with me. Ground beef, fish, shrimp, chicken, cauliflower – you name it, I’m up for it.
Having taco seasoning on hand is super convenient – tacos anytime! Plus, try this seasoning on baked chicken or in some black beans on the stove. Yum-ditty-yum😋
Here’s how to make this Homemade Taco Seasoning:
You’ll need 8 spices (including the salt and pepper):
- Chili powder
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Salt and pepper
Combine them all together and you’ve got a delicious Homemade Taco Seasoning!
I usually keep mine in a small mason jar so it’s air-tight. Don’t forget to label it and keep it front and centre in your spice cupboard for #TacoTuesdays!
Hope you love this taco seasoning🌮
